Ski holidays in Salzburg

Ski holidays in Salzburg. A holiday in Salzburg offers a rare opportunity to combine one of Europe's most fascinating cities with world-class skiing. At the heart of Salzburg you'll find a beautiful, baroque old town steeped in history, and 23 ski resorts at its fingertips. All are covered by one pass and each easy to ski in a day. Salzburg is a city of contrasts, the eye-catching, colourful townhouses, awe-inspiring castles and opulent palaces are complemented by classical operas and symphonies played live. In the same streets you will find cutting edge nightclubs and stylish bars. Friendly pubs serve traditional Austrian cuisine and locally brewed beer, whilst critically acclaimed restaurants offer modern, European cuisine. Salzburg is a truly individual ski destination.
The Hochkönig ski area offers plenty of nursery slopes. The foot of Hintertal and Aberg mountains have wide, gentle slopes and good ski tuition. There is a lot of good beginner terrain within a short distance of Salzburg. The Snow Shuttle has a multilingual guide who assists with all your skiing needs.
The Salzburg Snow Shuttle takes you to a different resort each day. Combining this with the Super Ski Card means intermediate skiers and snowboarders can enjoy miles of different terrain. Kaprun glacier is great for gentle cruising. Saalbach is superb for all intermediates.
St. Johann offers the most testing skiing for experts and there is plenty of tough terrain surrounding Salzburg.
